Azadari Connect is a dedicated community platform designed to connect the Indian Shia Muslim community with majalis, matami anjumans, nauha reciters, and charitable initiatives with utmost dignity, respect, and privacy.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to provide you with a personalized and secure community experience:
- Account Details: Your name, email address, profile picture (via Google authentication), and optional phone number.
- City & Community Preferences: Your selected city (e.g., Lucknow, Mumbai, Hyderabad) and anjumans you choose to follow so we can deliver relevant local majalis listings.
- Location Data (Optional): With your explicit permission, we access your coarse or fine location to show nearby Imambaras, venues, and to support emergency beacon coordination in the Juloos SOS feature. We do not track your location in the background when the app is closed.
- Contacts (Optional): With your permission, your contacts may be synced to find fellow momineen on the app and invite friends to majalis. Contact information is never sold, shared publicly, or uploaded to third-party ad networks.
- Payment & Sponsorship Metadata: When boosting listings, broadcasting notifications, or making sponsorships, transaction IDs, payment methods, and timestamps are recorded for verification. Sensitive card and UPI credentials are handled securely by regulated payment processors (Razorpay and Stripe); Azadari Connect never stores your raw bank or card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To display upcoming majalis, jashans, and community announcements in your region.
- To allow members and admins to coordinate anjuman schedules, duty rosters, and nauha audio libraries.
- To verify trust badges (e.g., Verified Momin, Anjuman Representative, Scholar).
- To deliver notifications regarding majlis start times, route updates, and RSVP reminders.
3. Data Retention & Storage
Your data is stored securely in encrypted cloud databases. We retain user profile information and majalis records for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account or request data purging, your personal information is permanently removed from active databases within 30 days.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with reputable, industry-standard infrastructure providers:
- Payment Processors: Razorpay and Stripe for PCI-DSS compliant payment processing.
- Cloud Hosting & Database: MongoDB Atlas and Railway / AWS with 256-bit SSL encryption.
- Cloud Storage: Encrypted object storage for majlis posters and anjuman logos.
5. User Rights & Account Deletion
You maintain complete ownership of your data. You have the right to:
- Access and review all data linked to your account.
- Update or change your city, display preferences, and notification settings at any time in the app settings.
- Request permanent account deletion and data removal by emailing support@azadariconnect.com.
